January is an exciting time of the year for many people. It’s a clean slate. Everyone is starting their resolutions. It’s great. Workout more. Eat healthy. Spend less. You know the drill.
Well, when you work in the tax business, January holds a much more sinister meaning. Maybe it’s not that sinister, but it marks the beginning of tax season. Accountants across the nation work additional hours. Some weeks are sixty hours and others are eighty hours. Our resolution is always just to survive tax season. It’s a fun time. Some of us have nightmares about it. We call them taxmares.

As a result of the season, all my ZanderverZ work slows down. Some days, I spend 100% of my awake time doing taxes. If you need any tax help, you’re welcome to reach out to me. I've only been doing it for over ten years, so I know a few things. It's actually been a great deal of help with establishing and running ZanderverZ.
This year I’ve made tax season a little harder for myself, because ZanderverZ has tax filing requirements. I won’t bore you with the details, but it’s an extra helping of tax fun for the season. The good news is that The Visions of Bezek is still on track for a May 2023 release. I don’t foresee any issues with that deadline.
I’ve been listening to some old-age videogame music to get through these difficult times. It helps me focus. YouTube has a wealth of playlist available. Currently playing: 11+ Hours of Sega Genesis. This kind of music isn't for everyone, but it's certainly for me.
