I’ve spent a good deal of February working on a short novella, called The Veiled Maze. I know what you’re thinking. Last month, I said the next release was to be He’s Going to Kill You. In a way, that’s still true. The Veiled Maze is planned as a freebie to everyone that’s subscribed to the Whisper’s Newsletter. Its anticipated release is April 2023.

THE VEILED MAZE UPDATE

The Veiled Maze precedes the events from The Visions of Bezek by a couple of years. The Bezek General Hospital was known around the globe for exclusive, miraculous medical treatments. During those years, a great deal of people flooded to the town to be treated, to be cured, or to be saved. Roland Marsh was the same as the rest. There was something wrong with him that couldn’t be healed by common medical means. But when he came to Bezek with his wife, he glimpsed the truth.

The blurb is still a work in progress, but you get the idea. I’ve completed the first draft and am currently working on the second draft. Unlike The Visions of Bezek, this project doesn’t have multiple storylines to coordinate, which is a welcomed change. The entire novella follows Roland and his wife during their visit to Bezek, and of course, you’ll see some familiar characters from The Visions of Bezek. There’s no need to read one before the other.

In other news, I’ve received the proof copies of both editions of The Visions of Bezek. It’s surreal seeing my intangible dream fulfilled with a physical product. It’s difficult to stop looking at them. After I’ve carefully looked through them, I’ll be one step closer to the May 2023 release date.
