He’s Going to Kill You

He's Going to Kill You Icon

I spent the last week of May tackling the first draft of He’s Going to Kill You. It’s what I call a writing sprint. My wife calls it insane. Either way, I’ve wrapped up the first draft of the book. It’s a bare bones kind of thing, but it sets a splendid structure for adding layers. One day, as I tell myself, I’ll post more about my process on here.

We’re still set for a December 2023 release date. I’d say I’m about a third of the way there, but there are some tough decisions ahead. If you don’t know me, you don’t know how much I enjoy being funny. Well, as a result, my enthralling thriller has a good bit of humor in it. That’s not quite what I set out to write, but I kind of like this way. At some point, there will be a decision to make about keeping it or tearing it out. This is also shaping up to be the first book of a trilogy.

The blurb is still a work in progress, but here’s what I’m looking at currently:

First impressions are everything, especially on a first date. This one’s going great, at least until the waitress drops off a note saying: HE’S GOING TO KILL YOU. Join me on the thrilling roller coaster of my first date with Jacob McFadden this Christmas Eve. We went to elementary school together. Our families were friends. Is he really trying to kill me?

The Visions of Bezek

The Visions of Bezek Icon

The Visions of Bezek officially released May 5th. I’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response from family, friends, fans, and some random people I don’t really know. I just wish I could get all these people to post reviews on Amazon. Either way, here’s what the reviews I do have are saying:

““The Visions of Bezek” is a must-read for fans of dark fantasy. The author’s ability to create such a vivid and immersive world is truly remarkable, and I couldn’t get enough of the imaginative characters and their intertwined stories. This book is a true gem and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling and captivating read.”

“The Visions of Bezek is a remarkable book that takes readers on a journey through the minds of the citizens that once lived in this very unusual town. The authors ability to tell a story allows readers to connect with the characters and feel their emotions. Each character’s story is different, each character adds to the mystery. I found myself not wanting to put the book down. It is an excellent book! A must-read".”

“It is a really good mysterious novel that all chapters are connected in some way!”

“The narrative is crisp, clean, and smart. Chapters, for the most part, are short and usually leaves us with these awesome little cliffhangers at the end. This made me want to keep reading and I loved that the author kept some important answers close to his chest, doling them out further into the book to build the tension and keep the reader guessing!”
